Wellsboro took a 12-7 lead after the first quarter of play and went up 21-13 at halftime. A 12-9 Hornets’ third and 9-8 fourth quarter provided the final. 

Kate Bryant led Wellsboro with 13 points and added four assists, while Ady Frantz scored 11 points and Kya Lawton had eight points and 19 rebounds in the win. 

Lily Wagner .. one of Wellsboro’s two senior players, along with Asi Celik .. scored six points and had five steals, while Lena Rothermel had four points and eight boards.

Starr Ordway led CV with 16 points while Taylor Eldridge had five points, Jaylynn Anderson had three and Lilah LaBarron, Reagan Neally and Des Stickler had two points each in the loss.

Wellsboro (4-11) and CV (3-12) are both scheduled to return to action Saturday .. the Hornets at home against Northern Potter and the Lady Indians at Northeast Bradford.
