THE WEEK AHEAD: SPRING SPORTS OPEN FOR SEVERAL TEAMS THIS WEEK (2021-03-22)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTHE WEST — The spring season opened for Wellsboro boys’ tennis last week, and three other Tioga County teams join them this week.
There are eight events scheduled, with tennis continuing and softball and baseball opening on Friday.
TUESDAY
* Wellsboro tennis will host Galeton.
WEDNESDAY
* Wellsboro tennis will host Jersey Shore.
THURSDAY
* The Wellsboro and Cowanesque Valley tennis teams will open league play, with CV hosting.
FRIDAY
* Cowanesque Valley will host Troy baseball and softball.
* Williamson baseball will host North Penn-Mansfield.
* Williamson softball will host North Penn-Liberty.
* The Wellsboro baseball and softball teams were scheduled to play at Northeast Bradford. These games will now be played on April 24.
SATURDAY
Cowanesque Valley baseball and softball will host Coudersport, with 11 a.m. start times for both.
