NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: HORNETS TOP RAMS (February 4, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWYALUSING — Wellsboro used a double-digit advantage in the third quarter to pull away from Wyalusing and held the Rams off for a 59-50 win in NTL boys’ basketball play here Wednesday.
After taking an 8-4 lead into the second quarter, the Hornets edged Wyalusing 21-20 as Colin Fletcher scored seven points in the frame and Jonathan Carl added six points to help the Hornets to a 29-24 advantage at the break.
A 17-7 Wellsboro third quarter bumped the Hornets’ lead to 46-31 before a 19-13 Wyalusing fourth quarter provided the final score.
Fletcher finished with 20 points in the win and added four steals while Carl had 13 points and six rebounds. James Doughtie had nine points, Griffin Morral had six points and three assists, Luke Rothermel added five points, eight boards and four assists, Gideon Lawton had four points and Marek Mascho had two points with six rebounds.
Wellsboro (10-10) has two regular season games left .. Friday when they host Towanda and Monday at Central Columbia.
