Canton took a 21-16 lead after a quarter of play before Liberty answered with a 20-12 second quarter, highlighted by eight points from Conner Lewis. 

A 21-14 third quarter bumped NPL’s lead to 57-47 and the Mounties finished with a 24-point fourth while holding the Warriors to eight points. 

All five of North Penn-Liberty’s starters reached double figures in scoring, led by Evan McTish’s double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Conner Lewis also had a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards and added four steals. 

Landon Mattern scored 13 points and had three assists, Brody Grinnell had 13 points, five assists, five steals and four assists, Luke Kreger had 11 points, six rebounds and eight assists and Sudan Benner added five points in the win.

The Mounties finish the regular season with a 14-8 record. As the small school runner-up, Liberty will compete in the NTL Showcase next Thursday before starting the District 4 Class A playoffs.
