NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NPL BEATS CV BEHIND LITZELMAN'S 29 POINT NIGHT (February 7, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportLIBERTY — North Penn-Liberty closed out their home season with a 58-26 win over Cowanesque Valley in NTL girls’ basketball play here Saturday.
Haley Litzelman led the Lady Mounties with a double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds and added eight assists, five steals and two blocked shots.
Litzelman lifted Liberty to a 17-10 first quarter lead with nine points then netted 10 in NPL’s 17-6 second quarter to put the Mounties up 34-16 at the break.
A 17-7 Liberty third quarter featured eight points from Litzelman and six from Serena Boiywo and NPL closed out the win with a 7-3 final frame.
Scarlett Graham added 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and four steals in the win while Boiywo had six points and six rebounds, Kendall Graham had five points, two assists and two steals, Victoria McTish had three points, two rebounds and two steals and Ari Benner scored one point,
Starr Ordway led CV with 10 points while Jaylynn Anderson had seven points, Lilah LaBarron had six and Taylor Eldridge had three points.
North Penn-Liberty (8-12) has a pair of regular season away games remaining, starting Monday at Sayre and followed by a trip to Northeast Bradford on Tuesday.
CV (4-17) has one regular season game left, Monday at home with NEB.
