NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: TIGERS DROP FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAME AT TOWANDA (February 9, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTOWANDA — North Penn-Mansfield played their final game of the regular season Monday at Towanda and fell to the large school champion Black Knights, 53-41.
Towanda jumped out to a 22-10 lead after the first quarter before the Tigers cut the deficit by one to 32-21 with an 11-10 second frame. A 12-9 Mansfield third made it 41-33 Towanda but the Knights closed out the win with a 12-8 fourth.
Andy Hermansen led the Tigers with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds and added five steals. Jason Harer scored nine points and had five assists and three blocked shots, Layne Cummings had five points, Colton Pellett and Patrick Youmans had four points each and Keaton Manikowski added two points.
North Penn-Mansfield finishes the regular season with a 12-10 record and will be the No. 8 seed in the nine team District IV Class 3A playoff field.
