SWIMMING: WELLSBORO LADY HORNETS EARN WIN OVER TOWANDA (February 11, 2026)

TOWANDA — The Wellsboro swim teams took on Towanda in a dual meet here Wednesday, with the girls earning a 47-8 win and the boys falling 98-34.

Piper Anderegg won two events, taking first in both the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:07.43) and the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:07.98), as did Makenna Robbins, who won the 50 Yard Freestyle (27.28) and the 100 Yard Freestyle (1:01.43). The two joined Kristina Belz and Joelle Bull to win the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (1:53.97).

Belz was 2nd in the 100 Yard Breastroke (1:21.67) and the 50 Free (30.59) while Bull was 2nd in the 100 Yard Freestyle (1:09.18) and 3rd in the 50 Yard Freestyle (32.10).

Max Mascho was a two-time winner for the boys, taking first in the 50 Yard Freestyle (25.64) and the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:06.29), while Wyatt Sporer won the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:18.98) and Austin DeShazo won the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:06.78).

Sporer was 3rd in the 50 Yard Free (27.17) while Elijah Kennedy was 6th (33.28), DeShazo was 4th in the 100 Yard Backstroke (1:13.23), Conlen Whitsell was 4th in the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:55.70) and in the 100 Yard Freestyle (1:17.87) while Kennedy was 5th in the 100 Free (1:26.52).
