NTL WRESTLING: WILLIAMSON CROWNS THREE CHAMPS AT SECTIONALS, SENDING SEVEN TO DISTRICTS (February 14, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — Williamson crowned three champs, finished fourth as a team and qualified seven wrestlers for next week’s District IV Championships at the North Section wrestling tournament here Saturday.
Zander Wilson (114), Hunter Simonds (127) and Luke Sottolano (285) all won titles for the Warriors.
Wilson recorded a 42 second pin in the semifinals and beat Wyalusing 2025 Regional qualifier Isaiah Harvey 10-5 in the finals to win the 114 pound championship.
Simonds pinned his way to his title .. recording a pair of falls in 1:10 to reach the 127 pound final and pinning Troy’s Keagan Kerr in 36 seconds to win the championship. The senior was also recognized by NTL officials with an honorable mention Sportsmanship Award.
Sottolano won his semifinal match by fall in 48 seconds and pinned Sullivan County’s Carter Reis in 1:55 to win the 285 pound title.
Walker Hyde (121) and Kohen Vandelinder (139) each placed third to qualify for next week’s District Championships.
Hyde won his first bout by fall before losing to eventual 121 pound champ Bryce Pequignot by technical fall to drop into the consolation rounds. The sophomore recorded a pair of pins .. in 2:06 and 1:16 .. to claim the bronze.
Vandelinder won his first match by tech fall before being pinned in the semis. The sophomore won by tech fall in his first consolation match and pinned Canton’s Carson Castle in 1:16 to claim third place.
Stevie Olson (189) and Riley Rall (215) round out Williamson’s District qualifiers as both placed fourth.
Olson was pinned in his first match of the day, won his consolation semifinal with a 28 second pin and fell in the 3rd/4th place match 11-6.
Rall went 2-2 on the day .. with a first round pin, falling 10-1 to eventual champ Hayden Stevens from Wellsboro, winning by tech fall and dropping his 3rd/4th place match by fall.
Kolton Putt (133) finished just off the podium in 5th place with two tech fall losses, a pin and a 5-2 decision in the 5th/6th place match.
Memphis Brockway (160) went 0-3 on the day while Ryder Dacheux (145) and Jayden Bovee (152) each went 0-2.
Williamson finished 4th as a team with 141.5 points, behind champ Towanda (180.5), Wyalusing (173.5) and Canton (147.5).
