NTL WRESTLING: PEQUIGNOT & NICKERSON EARN SECTIONAL TITLES FOR MOUNTIES(February 14, 2026) Northern Tier West Sports Report WELLSBORO — North Penn-Liberty had two champions at Saturday’s North Section tournament as sophomore Bodhi Nickerson won his first Sectional title and junior Bryce Pequignot won his third straight.
Pequignot tech falled his way to the 121 pound title .. with a 16-1 win in 46 seconds to open the tournament, a second period, 18-2 win over Williamson’s Walker Hyde in the semis and a first period, 17-2 win over Towanda’s Brayden Fessenden to claim his third Sectional title.
Nickerson, who placed third here a year ago, recorded a pin in 4:32 in his semifinal match-up before earning a 15-6 over Canton’s Levi Vermilya in the 107 pound final.
Also for North Penn-Liberty, Skylar Everetts (215) went 2-2 on the day and finished just out of qualifying for Districts in 5th place and Aivan Whitteker (127) went 2-3 to finish 6th.
Wyatt Nybeck (189) went 0-3 for the Mounties while Bentley Chilson (133), Logan Bitner (139) and Gavin Stubblefield (172) each went 0-2.
Liberty finished in 8th place with 71 points as a team.
