DISTRICT IV GIRLS BASKETBALL: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD TO TAKE ON BLOOMSBURG IN 3A PLAY-IN (February 17, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportBLOOMSBURG — The North Penn-Mansfield Lady Tigers qualified for the District IV Class 3A playoffs as the No. 9 seed and will travel to take on No. 8 seed Bloomsburg in a play-in game on Wednesday night.
Both Bloomsburg and North Penn-Mansfield finished 11-11 on the season. They didn’t play each other, but have common opponents from the year.
Bloom beat South Williamsport 44-17 while the Lady Tigers lost 53-46 to the Mounties, and both lost to Northeast Bradford .. Bloomsburg by a score of 41-40 and NPM, 56-32.
Bloomsburg relies heavily on scoring from sophomore Delaney Zentner, who averages 15.4 points per game. Their next leading scorers are senior Ally Bang (5.1 PPG), freshman Gabby Kashi (5 PPG) and senior Lucy Maclay (4 PPG, 8.5 RPG).
The Tigers will counter with leading scorer Kameron Lightner, a senior who averages 12.8 points per game, followed by sophomore Maddy McNamara at 11.6 PPG, junior Elaina Shaw at 6 PPG and freshman Julia Kaczynski, who scores 5.2 PPG.
With a win, Mansfield would advance to face top-seeded Hughesville (20-2).
