DISTRICT IV BOYS BASKETBALL: CV SEASON ENDS WITH LOSS TO MUNCY IN 2A QUARTERFINAL (February 17, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMUNCY — Seventh-seeded Cowanesque Valley lost their first round District IV playoff game against No. 2 seed Muncy here Tuesday, falling 63-41 to bring the Indians’ season to a close.
Muncy used a 12-8 first quarter and a 15-10 second to take a 27-18 lead into the break. The host Indians pulled away with a 24-10 advantage in the third quarter to lead 51-28 before CV took the final frame 13-12 to provide the final.
Joshua Teague led CV with eight points while Carsyn Kemp and Ashtyn Burdick scored six points each, Levi Stahli and Reed Vargeson had five each, Parker Lee and Trevin Hollenbach had four points each and Jacob Johnson had three points.
CV finishes the 2025-’26 season with an 8-15 record.
