NTL WRESTLING: TEN WEST WRESTLERS CONTINUE POST-SEASON AT DISTRICTS THIS WEEKEND (February 18, 2026)

WILLIAMSPORT — Ten Tioga County wrestlers will look to continue their quest for Hershey as they compete at the District IV 2A Championships on Friday and Saturday, held at Williamsport High School.

The Williamson Warriors crowned three Sectional champs in Zander Wilson (114), Hunter Simonds (127)  and Luke Sottolano (285) while also qualifying Walker Hyde (3rd 121), Kohen VanDelinder (3rd 139), Stevie Olson (4th 189) and Riley Rall (4th 215) for Districts.

North Penn-Liberty has two moving on .. both champs at last week’s Sectionals .. as Bodhi Nickerson (107) and Bryce Pequignot (121) make their second and third trip to Districts. 

Wellsboro’s Hayden Stevens (215) gives the Hornets their lone representative at Districts after winning the 215-pound title at Sectionals.

Luke Sottolano, a senior, won his first Sectional title and will take 120 career wins and a 36-2 record into Districts as the top seed at 285. 

As the No. 1 seed, Sottolano will await the winner between Montgomery freshman Keigan Clark and Warrior Run senior Noah Johnson. Sottolano has wrestled Johnson, pinning him at last year’s Regionals, but has not faced Clark. 

Common opponents between Sottolano and Clark include: 
Elijah Hoover, SW .. Sottolano pinned Hoover earlier this season while Hoover decisioned Clark 8-2 in their meeting. 
Gabe Vanderwall, Montoursville .. Sottolano beat Vanderwall while Clark fell 2-0.

Sottolano beat the No. 4 seed, Braylin Smith from Southern Columbia, twice at Districts last season, where Sottolano was 3rd, and beat the No. 3 seed, Clayton Whitenight from Central Columbia, at Districts as well. 
Sottolano hasn’t faced No. 2 seed Landon Moser from Mifflinburg, but Moser did face 4-seed Smith three times this season and is 2-1.

Bodhi Nickerson won his first Sectional title after placing 3rd a year ago. The sophomore is 24-7 this season and will be the No. 2 seed at Districts. Nickerson placed 7th at Districts last year.

Nickerson awaits the winner between Muncy freshman Gannon Swank (25-7) and Troy sophomore Garrett Parks (23-8). 
Nickerson beat Parks 11-2 as freshmen last year and has not faced Swank, but has common opponents. 

Garrett Bacorn, South Williamsport .. Nickerson pinned Bacorn while Swank beat Bacon twice, 9-2 and 10-6. 
Dominic Picciotti, Altoona .. Nickerson won by fall while Swank was pinned by Picciotti. 

The top seed at 107 is Montoursville sophomore Branden Eisenhour (42-3) while the No. 3 seed is Mifflinburg freshman Collin Roman (25-12) and the No. 3 seed is Canton junior Levi Vermilya, who Nickerson beat 15-6 in last week’s North Section final.

Junior Bryce Pequignot won his third straight North Section title and his 29-3 record gets him the No. 2 seed for Districts. Pequignot won the 121-pound title last year at Districts, and Regionals, and will start this year’s run against the winner between SVRC sophomore Tobias Conoway (21-9) and Milton freshman Bryson Walter (12-5).

Pequignot hasn’t faced either but has common opponents with both.

Both Pequignot and Conoway pinned Shamokin’s Casey Alleman .. Pequignot in 33 seconds and Conoway in 1:45 .. while Walter lost to Montoursville’s Coltyn Wagner and Pequignot pinned Wagner last season.

Pequignot’s possible semifinal match-up would be Montgomery sophomore Liam Seeley (32-6), the No. 3 seed, who Pequignot is 3-0 against, including a 9-6 SV win at the Mid-Winter Mayhem this year. 

The No. 4 seed is Muncy senior Roman Mairorana 21-8), who has been pinned by Seeley this season, while the top seed is Line Mountain junior Brock Rothermel (37-4). Rothermel beat Tussy Mt.’s Dakota Santamaria twice this season while Santamaria handed Pequignot one of his three losses on the year.

Sophomore Walker Hyde makes his first trip to Districts after placing 3rd at Sectionals. After missing the bulk of the regular season with an injury, Hyde takes a 7-2 record into Districts as the No. 8 seed. 

Hyde will face Benton sophomore Samuel Cumberland (25-7), who also makes his first trip to Districts. The two have not faced each other and the only common opponent they have is Leroy Culver from SVRC, who both pinned in the first period a season ago.

With a win, Hyde would advance to face No. 1 seed Brock Rothermel (37-4) from Line Mt.

Sophomore Zander Wilson won his second North Section title and will look to repeat at Districts where he won the 107-pound championship last year. At 32-4, Wilson is the No. 3 seed, where he’ll wrestle the winner between Central Columbia freshman Colt Carmean (24-15) and Midd-West junior Mason Kerstetter (18-7). 

Wilson hasn’t faced either, but all three have wrestled Shamokin’s Xavier Carr. Wilson and Kerstetter both pinned Carr while Carmean was major decisioned. 

The No. 2 seed is Montgomery freshman Gabe Oberheim (44-5) while the No. 4 is Wyalusing’s Isaiah Harvey (28-6), who Wilson beat 10-5 in the finals at Sectionals and Oberheim beat 5-3 earlier in the season.

The top seed is Southern Columbia senior Rowan Humphrey (35-4), who Wilson beat 7-0 in the District final last season and 6-0 in the 3rd/4th-place match at Regionals.

Senior Hunter Simonds won his first Sectional title last week and enters Districts for the fourth time with a 32-8 mark on the year. The 111-match winner will be the No. 3 seed and will face the winner between Mifflinburg senior Jack Gramly (32-12) and Towanda’s Jaydon Stranger, who Simonds pinned at Sectionals. 

Simonds hasn’t wrestled Gramly this season but lost to him at last year’s Regional Championships.

The top seed is Warrior Run’s Chase Wirnsberger (31-10), who is 2-1 against Gramly this season, while the No. 2 seed is Montgomery’s Carden Wagner (36-10), who beat Gramly 7-4 this season. 

The No. 4 seed is Muncy senior Gage Swank, who beat Simonds last year in the District quarterfinals.

Hayden Stevens, a senior making his second trip to Districts and first as a Sectional champ, will be the No. 3 seed and waits for the winner between Bloomsburg freshman Malcolm Tagba (13-22) and Mifflinburg sophomore Landon Tucker (36-1). 

While Stevens hasn’t faced either of his possible quarterfinal foes, he has common opponents with both.

Stevens pinned Loyalsock’s Tristan VanFleet this season while Tagba was pinned by VanFleet. 

Tucker pinned Southern Columbia’s Braylin Smith earlier this year while Stevens fell to Smith last season.

The No. 4 seed is Wyalusing’s Daniel Fox, who Stevens beat 7-0 in the Sectional final. The top seed, Line Mountain senior Jacob Schwalm (32-11) pinned Fox earlier this year in 21 seconds. The No. 2 seed is Hughesville sophomore Colton Woolever (33-15), who Stevens faced last season and won by fall.

Riley Rall, a junior wrestling in his first post-season, earns the No. 10 seed after his 4th-place finish at Sectionals. Rall is 20-15 this year and has Southern Columbia senior John Quinton in the first round. 

Common opponents between the two include James Deakin from Troy, who both Rall and Quinton pinned, and Finn Brennan from Towanda, who pinned Rall and was pinned by Quinton.

Kohen Vandelinder, a sophomore, makes his first trip to Districts after placing 3rd at Sectionals and will be the No. 9 seed with a 22-11 mark on the year.

Vandelinder will face Montoursville sophomore Kaden Kleinman (30-15) in his first match. Kleinman pinned Vandelinder in the third period in Williamson’s dual meet with Montoursville this season.

With a win, Vandelinder would face top seed Ben Straub (39-1) from Mifflinburg.

Sophomore Stevie Olson makes his first appearance at Districts as the No. 10 seed after his 4th place finish at Sectionals. With a 31-9 season mark, Olson faces South Williamsport sophomore Cole Gerber (23-12). 

The two have a common opponent in Wyalusing’s Ethan Vanderpool, the No. 3 seed. Gerber lost by major decision to Vanderpool while Olson fell to him at Sectionals.

Olson would face No. 2 seed Cade Feger from Line Mt. with a win in his preliminary.

Wrestling begins at 5 p.m. at Williamsport High School on Friday night. The top-7 finishers in each weight class will advance to Regionals the following weekend, also being held at WHS.
