DISTRICT IV GIRLS BASKETBALL: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD FALLS TO BLOOM IN 3A PLAYOFFS (February 18, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportBLOOMSBURG — North Penn-Mansfield was outscored 34-6 in the middle quarters and fell to the host Lady Panthers 49-22 in their first round District IV Class 3A playoff game here Wednesday.
Mansfield played the hosts to an 8-all draw in the first quarter behind a pair of baskets by Julia Kaczynski and one each from Maddy McNamara and Kameron Lightner, but Bloom held the Lady Tigers to an Elaina Shaw bucket in the second quarter and went into the break up 25-10.
Lightner and McNamara each scored in the third as Bloomsburg repeated with a 17-point quarter and took a 42-14 lead into the final frame.
Lightner led the Tigers with eight points and added 16 rebounds and three blocked shots while Kaczynski had six points, McNamara had four and Shaw and Addie Lehman had two points each.
North Penn-Mansfield finishes their 2025-’26 season with a record of 11-12.
