DISTRICT IV WRESTLING: WILLIAMSON'S WILSON & SOTTALANO MAKE SEMIS, REMAINING WARRIORS KNOCKED INTO CONSOLATION ROUNDS (February 20, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Williamson pushed Zander Wilson and Luke Sottolano through to the semifinals at Day 1 of the District IV wrestling championships on Friday, while the Warriors’ remaining wrestlers look to wrestle back through the consolation rounds after first-match losses.
No. 3 seed Wilson won by a 17-2 tech fall in 5:12 to open his tourney and will face No. 2 seed Gabe Oberheim in Saturday’s 114-pound semifinal.
Sottolano won his opening bout at 285 with a 4-1 sudden victory win. He’ll face Southern Columbia’s Braylin Smith in the semis.
121-pounder Walker Hyde won his preliminary round match 5-4 before losing to the No. 1 seed and dropping into the consolation rounds.
No. 3 seed Hunter Simonds fell by a second period fall at 127 pounds, Riley Rall lost by tech fall at 215 pounds and Kohen Vandelinder (139) and Stevie Olson (189) were both pinned in their first bouts.
