DISTRICT IV WRESTLING: PEQUIGNOT & NICKERSON CLAIM RUNNER-UP FINISHES FOR NORTH PENN-LIBERTY (February 21, 2026)

Northern Tier West Sports Report
WILLIAMSPORT — North Penn-Liberty duo Bodhi Nickerson and Bryce Pequignot both made the finals at the District IV Championships on Saturday and each fell to claim second place.

No. 2 seed Nickerson followed up his Friday night quarterfinal win with an 8-3 decision over Benton freshman Korben Collae in the 107-pound semifinals on Saturday to reach the championship match. Nickerson’s win over Collae avenged an earlier season loss, when Nickerson lost 3-1 to Collae at the Mid-Winter Mayhem.

Nickerson fell in the finals by tech fall to top-seed Branden Eisenhour, a sophomore from Montoursville, to claim silver.

Pequignot earned his 99th career win Friday night and his 100th on Saturday in his 4-1, semifinal win over Montgomery sophomore Liam Seeley.

In the 121-pound final, No. 2 seed Pequignot lost by a 19-4 tech fall to top-seed Brock Rothermel, a junior from Line Mountain that is now a 3-time District champ, a 2-time Regional champ, placed 3rd at States as a freshman, 5th last year as a sophomore and is a Pitt wrestling commit.

Nickerson and Pequignot will both wrestle in next weekends Regional Championships, again at Williamsport HS.
