THE SPORTS REPORTS: CORNING'S CRISCO, NORTHEAST BRADFORD'S KOLESAR NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (February 22, 2026)

Corning sophomore Joey Crisco won four Section IV, Class A gold medals, and Northeast Bradford Anaiah Kolesar won her second District 4 wrestling title. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Feb. 14.

Criso won a pair of individual gold medals, and swam on two first-place relays in leading the Hawks to the Class A title.

Crisco won the 200-yard IM in a personal-best time of 1:59.19. He won the 100-yard breaststroke in 59.45 seconds.

Crisco also swam on the gold medal 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays.

Honorable Mentions: Edison's Greg Golden (wrestling), Williamson's Hunter Simonds (wrestling), Owego's Gavin Lovell (wrestling), Waverly's Matthias Welles (wrestling), Towanda's  Hagen Jones (wrestling), and Wyalusing's Ethan VanDerpool (wrestling).

NORTHEAST BRADFORD'S KOLESAR NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM NAMED REGIONAL GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Kolesar went 3-0 on the day to win the 130-pound title at the District 4 Wrestling Championships.

Kolesar decked Lillian Kramer of Muncy in 20 seconds in the quarterfinals, while topped Brielle Walk of Montgomery in a 21-5 technical fall in 5:09 in the semifinals.

In the finals, Kolesar scored a 16-1 technical fall in 2:26 over Athens' second-seeded Hanna Rathbun, who is 32-4 this season with two of her losses to Kolesar.
