NTL WRESTLING: WELLSBORO'S HAYDEN STEVENS DROPPED INTO CONSOLATION BRACKET WITH LOSS AT REGIONALS (February 27, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro senior 215-pounder Hayden Stevens dropped his opening-round match at Regionals on Friday night and will be back in action Saturday morning.
Stevens (29-6), the No. 10 seed, was pinned in 5:02 by No. 7 seed Jacob Schwalm (36-13), a Line Mt. senior.
Stevens will now face No. 9 seed Colton Woolever (36-19), a sophomore from Hughesville, to try and extend his season. Woolever edged Stevens 6-5 at last week’s District IV Championships.
Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. Saturday back at Williamsport HS with the first round of consolation matches, followed by the championship semifinals and consolation quarterfinals.
