NTL WRESTLING: WELLSBORO'S HAYDEN STEVENS KNOCKED OUT OF REGIONALS WITH SECOND LOSS (February 28, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro senior Hayden Stevens saw his Hornet wrestling career come to a close on Saturday after dropping his second match at the North East Regional Championships.
After falling to eventual 215-pound runner-up Jacob Schwalm from Line Mountain in his preliminary round match Friday night, Stevens was tech falled 15-0 by Hughesville’s Colton Woolever in the first round of consolation bouts to be eliminated from the tournament.
Stevens (29-7) qualified for Regionals after placing 7th at Districts, having won the North Section title for the Hornets.
