NTL WRESTLING: NP-LIBERTY SOPHOMORE BODHI NICKERSON BRINGS 7TH PLACE MEDAL HOME FROM HERSHEY (March 7, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportHERSHEY — North Penn-Liberty sophomore Bodhi Nickerson capitalized on his first trip to the State Championships, earning a 5-0 win Saturday to claim a 7th-place medal for the Mounties.
Nickerson finished 4-2 in Hershey. He won his first match 9-0 before falling to eventual 107-pound runner-up Arav Pandey from Trinity.
After a pair of consolation wins .. 2-1 and 4-2 .. Nickerson was major decisioned by 5th-place winner Branden Eisenhour from Montoursville, setting up a rematch with Benton’s Korben Collae in the 7th/8th place bout.
Nickerson was 1-2 against Collae this season before Saturday, having beaten the Benton freshman 8-3 at Districts and losing 3-1 to him at the Mid-Winter Mayhem and 2-1 in last week’s North East Regional semifinal. Nickerson was called for an illegal move (figure four leg lock) during sudden victory and Collae was awarded a point and the win.
After a scoreless first period on Saturday, Nickerson went up 2-0 with a reversal in the second period and recorded a late takedown to seal the 5-0 win and the 7th-place spot on the State podium.
Nickerson finishes his sophomore season with a record of 32-12 after going 22-7 in the regular season, a North Section title, a runner-up finish at Districts, 4th place at Regionals and his 7th-place medal from States.
