NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON LADY WARRIORS '25-'26 SEASON RECAP (March 17, 2026)

Northern Tier West Sports Report
TIOGA JUNCTION — The Williamson Lady Warriors struggled at times during the 2025-’26 season, but Head Coach Marisa Allen was happy with the way her young squad persevered and kept working to improve.

“Overall I was pleased with how the girls pushed through a tough middle part of the season,” says Allen, “We had a young group and they strived to do well and be successful.”

Williamson finished the season with an 8-14 record, which included a 6-10 mark in the NTL and a 5-5 record in the small school division. The Warriors swept two-game series with Galeton (0-22), Sayre (0-20) and Cowanesque Valley (4-19) and split games with both Wellsboro (4-18) and North Penn-Liberty (9-14).

The Lady Warriors averaged 32.5 points per game while allowing 31 per outing.

Allen’s lone senior starter, Kenna Thomas, led the Warriors in scoring (7.8 ppg), rebounding (9 rpg) and blocked shots (4 bpg) while adding 1.6 steals and 1.3 assists per game.

“Kenna’s experience really helped lead a young group of starters,” says Allen, “she’ll be missed.”

Williamson will return a solid group of underclassmen next season.

“Our group of juniors really stood out this season,” says Allen, “Bailey Snyder (5.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.5 spg), Olivia Nolan (6.6 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 spg, 1.4 apg) and Leeann Kessing (2 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 1.9 apg, 2 spg) all showed improvement as the season went on. Sophomore newcomer Alexis Sprague (2 ppg, 2.1 spg) made an immediate impact on the floor with her athleticism and speed, and sophomore Jocelyn Colegrove (3.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg) also stepped up into a larger role this season and contributed.”

Allen is hopeful that her returning players embrace her offseason plans.

"In order for us to be more successful during the season, our athletes need to realize that a lot of the work comes in the offseason,” says Allen, “I plan on having the girls in the gym and fitness center working on their strength and conditioning as well as just playing the game.”
