NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NORTH PENN-LIBERTY LADY MOUNTIES 2025-'26 SEASON RECAP (March 18, 2026)

Northern Tier West Sports Report
LIBERTY — North Penn-Liberty finished the 2025-’26 girls basketball season with a 9-14 record, highlighted by a historic campaign by senior Haley Litzelman.

Litzelman scored in double figures in all but one game, had 30+ four times and averaged 22.4 points per game,  finishing her career with a school record 1,400 points. With 18 scoring/rebounding double-doubles, a rebounding/assist double-double and a triple-double, Litzelman averaged 13.2 rebounds per game .. finishing her career with 979 .. and added 4.5 assists, 3.7 steals and 2.6 blocks per outing.

“We had three seniors in Haley, Ari Benner and Tierney Edler,” says Liberty Head Coach Tracy Gregory, “They did a lot for the program and will be greatly missed next year.”

The Lady Mounties finished the regular season 9-13 (6-10 in the NTL, 5-5 in small school division) .. which included eight losses by single digits .. and made the Class A playoffs as the No. 7 seed. A nine-point loss to No. 2 seed Northumberland Christian left Liberty with a 9-14 record for the ’25-’26 season.

“We didn’t accomplish all our goals,” says Gregory, “but we made the District IV playoffs for the sixth straight year and we played very well against the big school teams. I’d like to have five games back that we lost by five or less points.”

As the lone senior starter, Litzelman led a starting line-up that featured junior Kendall Graham (8.6 ppg, 3 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.7 spg, 1.5 bpg) and three freshmen .. Scarlett Graham (4.7 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.7 apg, 2.7 spg), Victoria McTish (4 ppg, 6.1 rpg) and Serena Boiywo (2.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.1 spg).

“We had the youngest team in my seven years of coaching,” says Gregory, “but as the season progressed, the freshmen really gelled and played well with Haley and Kendall.”

“Scarlett used her speed and did a great job all year defensively and offensively,” Gregory continued, “Serena  had some big games defensively, Victoria was second on the team in rebounds and had multiple games of six points or more, freshman Collette Frey played great all year defensively, as did sophomore Jaci Fairchild.”

Gregory hopes the early playing time benefits his young returning squad.

“We had nine freshmen out of 14 total girls on the Varsity and JV teams this year,” says Gregory, “they need to continue to work on their game and just continue to play more throughout the year along with Kendall Graham and JC Fairchild.”
