ALFRED, NY — Wellsboro grad Cameron Brought has started off his junior season with the Alfred University baseball team serving as a captain and starter for the third-year Saxons.

In 36 at-bats for the 2-15 Saxons, Brought has collected six base hits, including a triple and a double, and has added seven RBI and six runs scored. With his five walks and getting hit by a pitch twice, Brought has a .302 OBP.

Brought led the Saxons to their first win of the season, 14-2 over Cornell College, with three base hits, five RBI and a run scored. Brought also leads the Saxons with 58 putouts from his starting spot at first base.
