NTL TRACK & FIELD: WELLSBORO SWEEPS HOSTED QUAD MEET (March 31, 2026)

WELLSBORO — The Wellsboro boys and girls’ Track & Field teams both swept their hosted quad meets Tuesday, each beating Williamson, Wyalusing and Troy. 

The Lady Hornets scored 103 points to top Williamson (91), Wyalusing (45) and Troy (37).

Piper Hoprich was a four-time winner for Wellsboro, taking first in the 100m (12.63), the 200m (26.24) and as a part of both the 4x100m relay (51.28) .. with Sophia Yoder, Dillyn Patt and Luna Moyer .. and the 4x400m (4:42.53) .. with Kaci Kosek, Paige Rush and Lillian Sprouse. 

Moyer was 2nd (13.20) in the 100m while Yoder was 4th (13.67) and Patt was 5th (13.87) and Yoder finished 2nd (29.14) in the 200m while Patt was 3rd (29.43).

Lauren Kosek won the 1600m (5:52.01) and the 3200m (12:53.49) and was 2nd in both the 400m (1:07.21) and the 800m (2:31.78). 

Isla Twoey won the 300m hurdles (50.84) .. with Piper Perry placing 5th (55.16) .. and was 2nd in the triple jump (32-11) and 3rd in the long jump (15-00.75) .. where Kristina Belz was 4th (15-00).

Elise Largey won the pole vault (7-00) while Megan Mosher was 2nd (6-06) and Brooke Wheeler was 4th (6-00) and Sienna Zengerle won the javelin (85-00) with Taylor Main placing 5th (75-01.50). 

Lauren Gehman placed 3rd (4-08) in the high jump and Olivia Gage was 5th (4-06), Jennifer Belz was 4th in the 100m hurdles (18.71), Katherine Whitney was 5th in the shot put (25-03) and Serenity Mosher was 5th in the discus (72-07).

In the boys’ meet, Wellsboro won with 110 points, ahead of Wyalusing (77), Troy (57) and Williamson (32).

David Seeling won four events for the Hornets .. the 110m hurdles (16.75) .. where Brayden Benjamin was 3rd (18.14), the 300m hurdles (42.30), the high jump (6-04) and the 4x400m relay (3:43.94), along with Jude Cuneo, Henry Whitney and Logan Johnson. 

Wellsboro’s 4x800m relay team of Whitney, Max Macias, Cuneo and Ethan Geneski also placed 1st (9:16.65), while Whitney won the 1600m (5:06.31) .. with Macias in 2nd (5:06.65) .. Macias won the 3200m (11:15.73) .. where Whitney was 2nd (11:17.24) and Geneski was 5th (12:05.23) and Cuneo won the 800m (2:08.15). 

Jonathan Carl won the 200m (23.25) and the 400m (50.79) .. where Logan Johnson was 4th (58.08) .. and Ransom Schultz rounded out the Hornets’ event winners, taking 1st in the javelin (139-07). 

Schultz was 2nd in the shot put (39-08) .. with Conlen Whitsell in 3rd (36-04.50), Carl was 2nd in the triple jump (40-11.50) .. with Brayden Benjamin taking 4th (38-05.50), Benjamin took 2nd in the long jump (19-05) .. where Liam Stevens was 4th (18-07.50), Jacoby Strang was 2nd in the 100m (11.96) and Whitsell placed 4th in the discus (99-00). 

The Wellsboro Track & Field teams are scheduled to next compete at the Molly Dry Invitational, at Mansfield University on Thursday.
