NTL TRACK & FIELD: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD COMPETES AT CANTON'S KIRBY RELAYS (April 2, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportCANTON — The North Penn-Mansfield Track & Field teams competed at the Kirby Relays here Thursday, with both the boys’ and girls’ squads finishing in fifth place.
The boys scored 62.5 points, behind winner Hughesville (131), Dallas (90), Wyalusing (87.5) and Athens (71) and ahead of Towanda (56), Troy (36.5), Canton (36), NEB (20), Sayre (10), Williamson (9.5) and Coudersport (4).
Brody Grinnell placed 2nd in the javelin (130-5), 5th in the long jump (17-10.75) and 6th in the triple jump (36-9.25), Colton Pellett was 4th in both the high jump and(5-8) and the triple jump (38-2.25), Deakon Valentine was 4th in the javelin (125-7) and 6th in the shot put (40-0.50), Braeden VanLoon was 4th in the 800m (2:05.97) and Michael Knefley was 4th in the 1600m (4:36.67) and 8th in the 800m (2:10.68).
Charles Aumick finished 7th in the 400m (56.42), Keaton Manikowski was 8th in the long jump (17-1.50) and Gage Wheatley was 8th in the triple jump (35-8).
The Lady Tigers scored 54 points, behind Hughesville (168.5), Towanda (83), Athens (66.5) and Wyalusing (55.5) and ahead of Williamson (48), Canton (44), Dallas (29.5), Troy (25), Coudersport (22), NEB (12) and Sayre (7).
Madilynn Scott placed 2nd in the triple jump (32-7.50), Scarlett Graham was 4th in the 200m (28.03) and Maryn McCarthy placed 4th in the 400m (1:10.13).
Jaci Fairchild placed 5th in the 1600m (5:36.19) and 8th in the 800m (2:38.18), Leila Garverick was 6th in the 3200m (12:49.45), Anna Owlett was 6th in the 300m hurdles (53.51) and Norra Furry placed 7th in the triple jump (30-11.50) and 8th in the high jump (4-6).
