NTL SOFTBALL: NPL LADY MOUNTIES CRUISE TO WIN OVER CANTON (April 9, 2026)

CANTON — North Penn-Liberty pounded out 21 base hits .. eight for extra bases .. and Elyna Booth struck out 13 as the Lady Mounties rolled to an 11-0 win over Canton in an NTL softball match-up here Thursday.

Three Mounties had four base hits each .. led by Elaina Shaw’s (1 rbi, 1 run) three doubles and a leadoff, solo home run in the second inning. Julia Kaczynski (2b, 2 runs) and Haley Litzelman (3 runs) also had four base hits each.

Kameron Lightner (3 rbi, 2 runs) had two doubles, Madison Smith (1 rbi) and Booth (1 rbi) had two base hits each, Claire Dominick (1 rbi, 1 run) had a double and Addie Lehman (1 rbi, 1 run) and Maddie McNamara (1 run) had one hit each.

Booth pitched a seven-inning shutout, allowing five Canton hits while walking three to go along with her 13 Ks’s.

North Penn-Liberty improves to 4-2 on the season with their third straight win. They’re scheduled to host non-league Muncy (1-3) on Friday.
