NTL SOFTBALL: NORTH PENN-LIBERTY WINS PITCHER'S DUEL AGAINST WYALUSING (April 15, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — North Penn-Liberty won a pitcher’s duel with Wyalusing here Wednesday, edging the visiting Lady Rams 1-0.
Liberty’s Elyna Booth threw seven shutout innings, allowing five base hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. Wyalusing’s Addison Fluck went all six innings and gave up the Lady Mounties lone run in the third inning while allowing five NPL hits, walking four and striking out six.
After two and a half scoreless innings, Haley Litzelman singled with two outs in the bottom of the third, reached second on a Wyalusing error and stole third. Kameron Lightner drove Litzelman in with a single to provide the eventual game-winning run.
Litzelman and Lightner each had two base hits in the win while Claire Dominick had a double for Liberty’s remaining base hit.
The Lady Mounties move to 7-2 with their sixth straight win. They’ll visit Wellsboro on Thursday.
