NTL BASEBALL: WILLIAMSON TOPS SAYRE FOR 2ND TIME, 2ND WIN (April 21, 2026)

SAYRE — Williamson earned their second win over Sayre and on the season here Tuesday, beating the host Redskins 11-9.

The Warriors scored a run in the first inning and Sayre came back with a 7-run second frame. Williamson made it 7-3 in the 3rd and added another run in the 4th before Sayre answered with one run in the bottom half and another in the 5th to make it 9-4 as they headed to the 6th inning.

Williamson strung together five singles .. by Weston Copp, Owen Cilino, Landyn Carlin, Ayden Silvernail and Xander Stafford .. and a sacrifice by Carter Tubbs to tie the game up at 9-all.

Kohen VanDelinder drew a leadoff walk in the top of the 7th and would score on a Cilino sacrifice and Carlin doubled to score Harlow Little, who was pinch-running for Copp after being hit by a pitch, to complete the Warrors’ comeback and seal the win.

VanDelinder started on the mound for Williamson and went two innings, allowing seven runs (2 earned) on two base hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Maddox Hartman earned the win, relieving VanDelinder and going the final five frames, giving up two runs (1 earned) on eight hits with seven K’s.

Carlin finished with two base hits, with a double and three RBI, while Stafford had two hits and drove in two. Kohen VanDelinder had a hit, an RBI and scored twice, Copp had a hit and scored twice, Cilino had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, Silvernail had a hit, three RBI and a run scored, Tubbs had a hit, an RBI and scored and Hartman and Spencer VanDelinder each scored a run.

Williamson (2-8) is scheduled to return to play on Thursday at Cowanesque Valley.
