NTL BASEBALL: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD FALLS TO TOWANDA (April 21, 2026)

TOWANDA — North Penn-Mansfield gave up a pair of 5-run innings late to Towanda and fell to the host Black Knights, 11-4, in large school baseball action Tuesday.

The Tigers took a 2-0 lead with a run in each of the first and second innings before the Black Knights scored their first run in the bottom of the third. After a scoreless fourth, Towanda rallied for five runs in both the fifth and sixth frames to take an 11-2 lead into the seventh. 

NPM scored two runs in their last at-bat to provide the final.

The Tigers out hit Towanda 7-6, with Isaac Sparks collecting two base hits while scoring once. Andy Hermansen (1 run), Collin Oakes (1 rbi), Jason Harer (2 rbi), Ryder Breon and Jackson Raught (1 run) all had singles in the loss. 

Hermansen started on the mound and went three innings, allowing an unearned run on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts. 

Breon (5 runs, 4 earned, 3 hits, 3 BB, 3 K), Greene (1 hit, 1 BB, 1 K) and Oakes (5 runs, 0 earned, 2 BB, 2 K) each threw an inning for Mansfield in the loss. 

The Tigers (3-7) are scheduled to return to play on Thursday at Troy.
