NTL TRACK & FIELD: HORNETS SWEEP TRI-MEET WITH NP-MANSFIELD IN CANTON (April 21, 2026)

CANTON — The Wellsboro boys’ and girls’ Track & Field teams each swept a tri-meet with North Penn-Mansfield in Canton on Tuesday.

The Lady Hornets scored 94 points to top NPM (61) and Canton (32).

Piper Hoprich won the 100m (12.54) and 200m (25.84) dashes, Lauren Kosek won the 1600m (5:43.00) and the 3200m (13:31.30), Kristina Belz won the high jump (4-10) and the long jump (14-9.75), Jennifer Belz won the 100m hurdles (18.04), Isla Twoey won the triple jump (31-11.00), Elise Largey won the pole vault (7-6) and Sienna Zengerle won the javelin (79-3).

Luna Moyer was 3rd in the 100m (13.24), Lauren Kosek was 3rd in the 400m (1:09.54) and Annabelle Hawn was 4th (1:12.74), Lauren Kosek was 2nd in the 800m (2:33.30) and Kaci Kosek was 3rd (2:52.70), Olive Twoey was 2nd in the 100m hurdles (18.54) and Isla Twoey was 2nd in the 300m hurdles (51.24).

Lauren Gehman was 4th in the high jump (4-8) and 2nd in the long jump (14-8.50) with Isla Twoey 3rd (14-1.25). Kristina Belz was 3rd in the triple jump (29-9.50) and Gehman was 4th (29-3.00), Megan Mosier was 2nd in the pole vault (7-0) and Brooke Wheeler was 3rd (6-0) and Katherine Whitney was 4th in the discus (72-8), the javelin (69-0) and the shot put (24-6). 

The boys’ scored 90 points to top both NPM (82) and Canton (16).

Jonathan Carl won the 100m (11.84), the 200m (23.54), the long jump (18-11.00) and the triple jump (39-11.50). 

David Seeling won the high jump (6-7.00 .. new school record) and the 300m hurdles (42.44), Henry Whitney won the 1600m (4:56.00) and the 3200m (12:24.20), Brayden Benjamin won the 110m hurdles (17.64) and Zander Rachiele won the pole vault (9-0).

Jude Cuneo was 2nd in the 400m (54.44), Aaron Kirk was 4th (57.54), Max Macias was 2nd in the 1600m (4:56.60), Whitney was 3rd in the 800m (2:03.80) and Ethan Geneski was 4th in the 3200m (12:28.80). 

Dylan Tomlinson was 2nd in the pole vault (8-6), Jacob Smith was 3rd (8-6) and Stephen Tokarz was 4th (8-0), Seeling was 2nd in the triple jump (38-9.50), Liam Stevens was 3rd in the long jump (18-1.75), Ransom Schultz was 2nd in the shot put (41-8.00), Jacob Smith was 3rd in the javelin (104.3.00), Conlen Whitsell was 3rd in the discus (107-4.00) and Schultz was 4th (101-11.50).
