NTL BASEBALL: HORNETS BEAT TOWANDA 2-0 (April 23, 2026)

WELLSBORO — Marek Mascho threw a complete game, three-hit shutout to lift the Wellsboro Hornets to a 2-0 win over Towanda in an NTL Large School match-up here Thursday.

Masco went all seven innings and surrendered three hits while walking one Towanda batter and striking out six. 

At the plate, it was Mascho’s one-out double in the third inning that led to the Hornets’ two runs as Coen Tennis would reach base on an error after Mascho’s hit and Max Mascho would drive Marek in with a sacrifice. Tennis then added run number two on a passed ball.

Griffin Morral and Max Mascho had Wellsboro’s remaining base hits, along with Marek’s double, in the win.

The teams are scheduled to face each other again Friday, this time in Towanda, as the Hornets move to 8-2 on the season.
