VARSITY TRACK & FIELD: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD ATHLETES COMPETE AT COUDY INVITE (May 1, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportCOUDERSPORT — The North Penn-Mansfield boys’ Track & Field team placed 2nd at Friday’s Coudersport Invitational while the Lady Tigers finished 6th.
The Tigers scored 102 points, behind only champ Eisenhower (124.5) in the 12-team field.
Michael Knefley won the 800m (2:05.55) and 1600m (4:34.62) runs, Luke Kreger won the high jump (6-0), Deakon Valentine won the javelin (148-8) and both the 4x800m (9:19.09) and 4x100m (45.39) relays placed 1st.
Brody Grinnell was 2nd in the javelin (145-2) and 4th in the 200m (24.13), Peter Bishop was 2nd in the 800m (2:05.56) and David Graf was 5th (2:11.70), Colton Pellett was 3rd in the high jump (5-10), Mason Forer was 3rd in the 3200m (10:59.48) and Valentine was 4th in the shot put (41-2) and 5th in the discus (125-0).
The Lady Tigers scored 58 points to finish 6th out of the 12 participating teams.
Jaci Fairchild won the 1600m run (5:39.48) and Leila Garverick won the 3200m (12:30.18).
Madilynn Scott placed 2nd in the triple jump (34-1), Scarlett Graham was 2nd in the 200m (27.52) and 3rd in the 400m (1:01.45), Fairchild was 3rd in the 800m (2:33.69), Nora Furry was 5th in the 100m hurdles (18.65) and the 4x800m relay team placed 2nd (10:47.06).
