NTL JR. HIGH TRACK & FIELD: WILLIAMSON WARRIORS (May 5, 2026)

WELLSBORO — The Williamson Jr. High Track & Field teams competed at the NTL Championships on Tuesday where the Lady Warriors placed 5th and the boys were 7th.

The girls scored 48 points, behind champ Athens (134), Troy (110), Wellsboro (62.5) and NEB (48.5) and ahead of Canton (26), Wyalusing (26), NPM (23), Towanda (22) and Sayre (6).

Giana Gonzalez won the 800m run (2:35.41) and the 1600m (5:43.02), Laiken Hackett was 3rd in the 800m (2:46.27) and in the 1600m (6:01.49), the 4x400m relay team of Gonzalez, Hackett, Ruth Krellner and Kaelynn Cole was 3rd (4:57.23), Cole was 4th in the triple jump (28-01.00) and Gabriella Meyer-Gaton was 4th in the discus (61-00.50).

The boys scored 29.5 points, ahead of Canton (5), Sayre (3) and Wyalusing (1) and behind Athens (133.5), Wellsboro (132), NPM (80), Towanda (46), Troy (42) and NEB (31).

Jude Walker won the shot put (37-03.00), George Sumrall was 4th in the triple jump (27-06.00), Kealon Cade was 5th in the triple jump (27-01.50) and the shot put (29-05.50), Keegan Farr was 6th in the 800m (2:38.79) and Sumrall was 8th in the 100m hurdles (20.51).
