NTL BASEBALL: BIG INNING LIFTS NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD TO 10-RUN WIN OVER WILLIAMSON (May 7, 2026)

MANSFIELD — The host Tigers broke open a 3-1 game with an 8-run 5th inning to beat Williamson 11-1 in an NTL baseball match-up here Thursday.

North Penn-Mansfield scored runs in the first and third innings before Williamson cut the lead in half in the fourth. The Tigers answered in the bottom half to go up 3-1 and sent 12 batters to the plate in the bottom of the fifth and used six singles to score eight runs and end the game early. 

Jason Harer had two base hits in the Tigers’ big fifth inning and had three in the game, adding two RBI and a run scored, while Noah Musser (1 rbi, 2 runs), Kam House (2 rbi, 1 run), Peyton Greene (1 rbi, 1 run) and Brock Deitrick (3 rbi) each had two base hits.

Andy Hermansen had a triple and scored three runs, Ryder Breon had a hit and scored, Collin Oakes had an RBI and Isaac Sparks scored a run.

Musser started on the mound and went three innings, allowing three hits with zero walks and five strikeouts. Breon finished, pitching two innings and giving up an earned run on one base hit and a walk with one K.

Williamson used three pitchers in the loss, as Kohen VanDelinder started and went three innings and allowed two earned runs on four NPM hits and two walks with one strikeout, Maddox Hartman pitched one and a third innings and gave up nine runs (7 earned) on eight hits and two walks and Ayden Silvernail recorded the final out after allowing a hit and walking one.

Kohen VanDelinder had two of the Warriors’ four hits in the loss while Spencer VanDelinder and Xander Stafford had a hit each.

North Penn-Mansfield (6-10) is scheduled to return to action Saturday against Northern Potter while Williamson (2-13) hosts Oswayo Valley, also on Saturday.
