NTL BASEBALL: HORNETS WIN MOTHER'S DAY TILT AT WILLIAMSON (May 10, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — Williamson hosted Wellsboro for a rare Mother’s Day game on Sunday and the Hornets one-hit the Warriors in a 13-0 shutout.
Syler Pietrzyk pitched all five innings for Wellsboro, giving up a lone Williamson hit with one walk and seven strikeouts.
At the plate, the Hornets collected 11 base hits. Coen Tennis had three hits, with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored, while Gage Baltzley had two hits, with a double and four RBI, Gabe Cuneo had two hits, with a double and two runs scored and Marek Mascho had two hits and added an RBI and a run scored.
Cameron Owlett had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, Kody Enck had a hit and an RBI, Max Mascho scored three runs and Griffin Morral and Dylan Copp each scored once.
For Williamson, Xander Stafford had the Warriors’ lone base hit and Kohen VanDelinder drew the only walk.
Spencer VanDelinder pitched three innings and allowed 11 runs (7 earned) on nine Wellsboro hits and three walks while Stafford pitched one inning and walked three and Lincoln Doud threw the final frame and gave up two earned runs on two hits and two walks.
Wellsboro (15-2) will return to play on Monday when they finish up their suspended game with Athens from April 21st. The Wildcats and Hornets were tied at 4-all after 10 innings of play when the game was called.
Williamson (2-14) has two games remaining on their season, starting Monday when they host Oswayo Valley.
