NTL TRACK & FIELD: BAILEY LEADS WILLIAMSON'S DAY TWO EFFORTS AT DISTRICTS (May 16, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMILTON — Williamson’s Maddie Bailey picked up another event to compete in at States and the Warriors earned three more medals at the second day of the District IV Championships on Saturday.
Bailey placed 3rd in the 800m run with a state qualifying time of 2:19.19 on Saturday, while she, Maddison Fay, Lainey Hackett and Natalie Yonker ran a 9:47.37 in the 4x800m to finish 4th and qualify for states on Thursday’s Day One and Bailey’s long jump of 16-10.75 was good for silver and also earned her a spot at States.
Raegan VanGorden earned a 3rd place medal in the high jump (5-0) and Troy Madison earned the boys’ team lone medal, placing 4th in the pole vault (11-0).
Hackett was 10th in the 1600m (5:29.72) and 11th in the 800m (2:28.18), Fay was 13th in the 800m (2:29.26), Anna Lee was 16th in the triple jump (31-0.25), Sayde Loucks was 16th in the shot put (28-3.25) and Elizabeth O’Neil was 19th in the 300m hurdles (52.05).
For the boys, AJ Hargarther was 13th in the high jump (5-11) and Joshua Teague and Jeavon Eick were 16th (53.45) and 17th (54.62) in the 400m dash.
Bailey, Fay, Hackett and Yonker will compete at next weekend’s State Championships at Shippensburg University.
