LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: SOUTHERN TIOGA JUNIORS WIN PA DISTRICT 15 TITLE (June 30, 2026)

ATHENS — The Southern Tioga junior baseball All-Stars completed an undefeated postseason run and beat Athens 9-6 on Tuesday to win the PA District 15 title.

The win was Southern Tioga’s fourth straight over Athens as the two teams were the lone representatives in District 15 junior baseball. 

Athens scored first with a pair of first inning runs and Southern Tioga tied it up with single runs in the second and third innings. Athens retook the lead with two runs in the third and one in the fourth. 

Down 5-2, ST rallied for a six-run fifth frame, held Athens to one run in the sixth and added their final score in the top of the seventh to secure the championship.

Southern Tioga collected eight base hits in the game with Parker Pellett and Dalton Heisley each with two hits and each added an RBI and a run scored. 

Owen Lisowski had a hit, three RBI and a run scored, Brodie Deming had a double, two RBI and a run scored, Jameson Crum had a hit and scored twice and EJ Gehringer had a hit and a run scored. 

Pellett started on the mound and went three and a third innings, allowing five runs (1 earned) on four hits and six walks with seven strikeouts. Crum finished the final three and thwo-third innings, giving up one earned run on no hits and three walks with six K’s.

Southern Tioga advances to the Sectional tournament, hosted by District 12 at Hughesville and including District 13, who ST will play on Tuesday, July 7th.
