TIOGA COUNTY — Three-sport standout Andy Hermansen, a senior from North Penn-Mansfield, headlines the NTWSR All-Tioga County ’Top 10’ Male Athletes of 2025-26.

Hermansen is joined on the ’Top 10’ list by Cowanesque Valley/Williamson senior Luke Sottolano, NP-Mansfield/NP-Liberty senior Luke Kreger, Wellsboro sophomore Griffin Morral, Wellsboro senior Marek Mascho, North Penn-Mansfield junior Michael Knefley, NP-Liberty/NP-Mansfield senior Brody Grinnell, Wellsboro junior Max Mascho, Wellsboro senior Jude Cuneo and Cowanesque Valley/Williamson senior Hunter Simonds.

Andy Hermansen, North Penn-Mansfield, sr. 
..  the All-Tioga County ’Super 7’ Golfer of the Year averaged an 80.2 during the regular season to lead the Tigers to a 21-13-1 record .. shot a 2nd-day 69 at the District IV 2A championships to claim the District title by four strokes (150) and qualified for States for the third straight year, finishing in 37th place. Is committed to golf at Westminster.
.. the All-Tioga County Boys’ Basketball ‘Player of the Year’ scored14.9 points per game for Mansfield, hit 34 threes and shot 73% from the free throw line (61-84). The 6’ 4” guard scored in double figures in 19 of 12-11 Mansfield’s 23 games and had 20 or more points four times. Hermansen also grabbed 6.2 rebounds per game, handed out 3 assists per outing and while drawing defensive responsibilities on the opposing team’s best player, had 2.4 steals and a block per game.
.. the All-Tioga County ‘Offensive Player of the Year’ in baseball, Hermansen hit .475 for the 8-12 Tigers with 29 base hits .. including two home runs, three triples and nine doubles .. and added 29 runs scored, 22 stolen bases, 14 RBI and got on base at a .569 clip. The senior also went 2-0 from the mound, throwing 19 innings and going 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

Luke Sottolano, CV/Williamson, sr. 
.. the All-Tioga County ‘Lineman of the Year’, Sottolano anchored an offensive line that allowed the CV Indians to average over 200 yards of rushing and 300 yards of offense per game. On defense, Sottolano had 46 tackles, four sacks and eight tackles for loss.
.. the All-Tioga County ‘Wrestler of the Year’, the Williamson 285-pounder went 45-4 on the season, winning North Section, District IV and North East Regional titles before claiming a 7th place medal at the PIAA State Championships .. recorded 22 falls on the season, didn’t surrender a back-point all year and finished his career with 129 wins for the Warriors. Is committed to wrestle at D1 Lock Haven.

Luke Kreger, North Penn-Liberty/North Penn-Mansfield, sr.
.. ran for 704 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Panthers, had 22 receptions for 252 yards and a TD and threw for 148 yards and a score. Kreger also returned both a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns and was named the All-Tioga County Football ‘Athlete of the Year’. 
.. led the Mounties back to the D4 Class A basketball final, averaging 13.9 points a game .. finishing his Mountie career with 911 points .. with 34 threes and added 3.1 assists, 4.5 boards and 2.1 steals per game. The 2025-’26 All-Tioga County ‘Offensive Player of the Year’ scored over 20 points seven times and hit double-digits in 19 games while normally being covered by the opposing team’s best defender. 
.. was named the All-Tioga County T&F ‘Co-Field Athlete of the Year’ .. Kreger was key to the Tigers’ league championship, winning the high jump and taking 2nd in the long jump at the NTL meet and combining with Sudan Benner, Colton Pellett and Brody Grinnell to win the 4x100m relay .. placed 4th at Districts in the high jump and earned a 5th-place medal in the 4x100. At States, Kreger earned the Tigers’ lone medal after tying for 8th in the high jump.

Griffin Morral, Wellsboro, so.
.. the All-Tioga County Football ‘Player of the Year’, Morral accounted for over 2,000 yards of offense for the 6-5 Hornets, throwing for 1,335 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season and rushing for 717 yards and nine more TDs .. A true cover-corner on defense, Morral wasn’t tested often, giving up very few receptions and collecting 14 tackles and an interception.
.. named 3rd Team All-Tioga County Basketball, Morral increased his production and contribution as the season progressed and finished averaging 5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while proving to be an above-average defender.
.. named 1st Team All-Tioga County Baseball for the Large School Co-Champion Hornets .. a Gold Glove-level centerfielder that hit .323 with 21 base hits (5-2b), 30 runs scored, 12 RBI, 20 walks, 17 stolen bases and a .488 on-base-percentage.

Marek Mascho, Wellsboro, sr. 
.. named 1st Team All-Tioga County Football on both Offense and Defense .. had 84 carries for 529 yards and 7 touchdowns, 25 receptions for 431 yards and 4 TD’s and threw 2 TD passes .. 67 tackles from his defensive back position with five interceptions.
.. ran point for the Hornets and averaged 4.2 points, 2.1 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5 rebounds per game.
.. the All-Tioga County Baseball ‘Player of the Year’ .. Mascho led the Hornets to a 14-1 league record, an 18-3 overall mark and a share of the NTL Large School title .. collected 36 base hits .. including 10 doubles and a home run .. while batting .456 with 35 runs scored, 27 runs-batted-in, eight stolen bases and a .500 on-base-percentage. On the mound, Mascho went 3-1 over 26 innings of work with a 5.19 ERA and 22 strikeouts. Committed to play college baseball at Elmira.

Michael Knefley, North Penn-Mansfield, jr. 
.. the All-Tioga County XC ‘Runner of the Year’ won the NTL Coaches Invitational, placed 5th at the District IV Championships and finished 72nd at States.
.. named the All-Tioga County T&F ‘Track Athlete of the Year’, Knefley helped the Tigers to a title at the NTL meet with a win in the 1600m, a 3rd-place finish in the 3200, a 4th-place in the 800 and a runner-up finish in the 4x800m relay. The junior then earned three District IV medals, taking 7th in the 1600, 6th with his 4x400m relay and 4th with the 4x800 squad along with Sudan Benner, Peter Bishop and Braden VanLoon, who qualified for the State Championships and finished 12th.

Brody Grinnell, North Penn-Liberty/North Penn-Mansfield, sr. 
.. helped the Mounties to a 10-9-1 season mark and was named 2nd Team All-Tioga County with 3 goals and 3 assists.
.. was the All-Tioga County Football 1st Team kicker with 10-of-16 PAT’s made, 5-of-5 field goals and 5 touchbacks. 
.. named 3rd Team All-Tioga County in basketball for the Mounties, averaging 5.4 points, .8 steals, 2.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game with 17 three pointers.
.. was a key member of the Tigers’ NTL Championship team, earning a league title in the 4x100m relay, a runner-up finish in the javelin and a 3rd place finish in the 100m dash before earning a District medal with a 5th place finish in the 4x100.

Hunter Simonds, Cowanesque Valley/Williamson, sr. 
.. was named to the All-Tioga County boys’ XC ‘Fab 5’ after finishing 17th at the NTL meet and 21st at Districts.
.. was named to the All-Tioga County wrestling ’Super 7’ .. won Sectionals at 127 pounds, placed 5th at Districts and went 39-12 on the season, collecting his 100th win during the season and finishing his Williamson career 118-50.
.. helped CV to a small school baseball title .. hit .283 with 17  base hits, 21 runs scored, 12 RBI, a .469 OBP, 12 stolen bases. Went 2-0 pitching over 13 2/3 innings with a 1.54 ERA and 13 strikeouts.

Jude Cuneo, Wellsboro, sr. 
.. was named both the All-Tioga County Boys Soccer ‘Player of the Year’ and the ‘Defensive Player of the Year’.
.. first place finish at the NTL meet and a 7th-place medal at Districts in the 800m run .. earned a 6th-place District medal and a 6th-place State medal in the 4x800m relay.

Max Mascho, Wellsboro, jr.
.. named All-Tioga County Football 1st Team Punter and had 20 catches for 239 yards and two TDs, a kick return for a TD and 32 tackles and an interception.
.. earned a District IV swimming medal, placing 4th in the 100 Backstroke .. was 11th in the 50 Free and was a part of two 5th-place finishing relay squads .. the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Free Relay.
.. the All-Tioga County Baseball ‘Pitcher of the Year’, Mascho went 7-1 with a 2.68 ERA and 71 strikeouts for the NTL Large School Co-Champs .. also produced at the plate, hitting .327 with 18 hits, 24 runs scored, 16 RBI and 20 walks drawn to finish with a .519 OBP.
