NTL GOLF: ZAY'S 77 LEADS NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD AT TYOGA(August 17, 2026) Northern Tier West Sports Report WELLSBORO — North Penn-Mansfield’s Benton Zay shot a six-over 77 to lead the Tigers at the first NTL match of the season Friday at Tyoga Country Club.
Zay had two birdies while shooting a 38 on the front nine and a 39 on the back. The sophomore finished in a tie for 2nd place behind Towanda’s Boom Thompson’s 68.
Alex Kalamaris had an 84 (42, 42) while Collin Oakes shot a 94 (49, 45) and Layne Cummings had a 95 (50, 45) to give the Tigers a four-player score of 350, good for 4th place. Jameson Crum (97) and Bryce Pequignot (105) shot unscored rounds for Mansfield.
Towanda won with a 305, followed by Athens (327) and Wellsboro (344) while NP-Mansfield beat Cowanesque Valley (369), Wyalusing (387), Canton (402) and Sayre (434).
