NTL GOLF: HORNETS FINISH 4TH AT TOWANDA CC(August 19, 2026) Northern Tier West Sports Report TOWANDA — Wellsboro played in the second league match of the golf season’s first week at Towanda CC Wednesday, finishing in 4th place behind Syler Pietrzyk’s round of 79.
Pietrzyk had three birdies and five pars while shooting a 40 on the front nine and a 39 on the back to finish +8 for the day.
Chase Schultz (47, 47) and Conlen Whitsell (49, 45) each shot a 94 while Jackson Largey (48, 47) rounded out the Hornets’ scoring with a 95. Logan Johnson (98) and Ben Jackson (104) shot non-scoring rounds for Wellsboro.
Towanda finished first and went 7-0 (313) while Athens was second (327) and North Penn-Mansfield edged Wellsboro by one stroke for third (361). The Hornets (362) beat Cowanesque Valley (373), Wyalusing (385), Canton (391) and Sayre (412).
