NTL GOLF: WELLSBORO TAKES THIRD PLACE AT SHEPARD HILLS LEAGUE MATCH (August 26, 2026)

WAVERLY, NY — Wellsboro had all six of their golfers break 90 and finished in third place at an NTL match hosted by Athens at Shepard Hills Wednesday.

Chase Shultz shot a 42 on the front nine and 41 on the back with a birdie and seven pars for a team-low 83 (+11) to lead the Hornets.

Syler Pietrzyk (41, 43) had 11 pars and shot an 84 while Jackson Largey (44, 42) had an 86, Ben Jackson (42, 45) and Sam Jackson (44, 43) each shot an 87 and Case Butler (46, 42) had an 88.

Towanda (311) went 7-0 on the day, followed by Athens (315), Wellsboro (340), North Penn-Mansfield (345), Cowanesque Valley (359), Wyalusing (367), Canton (394) and Sayre (400).
