NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO EARNS 3-0 SWEEP OF NORTH PENN-LIBERTY (September 1, 2026)

MANSFIELD — Wellsboro opened their 2026 season by sweeping North Penn-Liberty 3-0 in NTL volleyball action here Tuesday.

The Lady Hornets won straight sets .. 25-17, 25-23 and 25-23.

Peyton Keane finished with 10 kills and three digs for Wellsboro while Kendall Sweet had 15 service points with four aces and seven kills. Maddy Cruttenden had eight digs and seven points with two aces, Ellie Largey had 14 assists and eight points, Jill Mickey had 14 assists and Ady Frantz had five kills and four blocks. 

For the Lady Mounties, Maddison Smith had 15 assists and four kills, Lilly McNamara had 10 digs, eight kills and two blocks, Maddie McNamara had 16 digs, Vicki McTish had seven kills, five digs and two blocks, Elaina Shaw had six digs, two kills and two blocks, Gabby Bubeck had six digs and three kills and Kendall Graham had three blocks and one kill.

Wellsboro and NPL are both scheduled to return to play on Thursday .. the Hornets at Towanda and the Mounties at Athens.
