HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: LADY HORNETS EDGED BY 6A WILLIAMSPORT (September 21, 2026)

WILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro was edged 3-2 by 6A Williamsport in a back-and-forth, non-league volleyball match-up here Monday evening.

Williamsport won the first set 25-22 and the Lady Hornets won the second 25-16. The Millionaires took the third set 25-20, Wellsboro won the fourth 25-14 and Williamsport won the deciding set 15-11 to get the win.

Peyton Keane finished with 17 kills, 17 digs and 10 service points with five aces while Ady Frantz had 13 kills, seven points with four aces and a block. 

Maddy Cruttenden had 26 digs, Jillian Mickey had 23 assists, Ellie Largey had 16 assists and eight points and Kendall Sweet had 19 digs and five kills. 

Wellsboro (5-2) is scheduled to return to action Tuesday when they host South Williamsport.
