NTL CROSS COUNTRY: HORNETS SWEEP ATHENS (September 22, 2026)

WELLSBORO — The Hornets hosted Athens for an NTL cross country match-up Tuesday and the Hornets swept the visiting Wildcats.

The Lady Hornets won 26-29 as Lauren Kosek (23:27) placed first, Molly Tice was third (27:13), Luisa Crocco was fifth (29:48), Brianna O’Shea Losinger was seventh (30:47) and Anja Przybycien was 10th (32:21).

In the boys’ race, Will Rudy finished second (20:34) to lead the Hornets to a 28-29 win over the Wildcats. Taitt Webster was fifth (22:11), Lucas Crowl was sixth (22:15), Jack Hammerton was seventh (22:55), Jesse Spicer was eighth (22:57), Jacob Patterson was ninth (24:10), Jeff Rawson was 12th (25:08) and Justin Dunlap was 14th (25:24).

The Wellsboro Junior High boys won 17-19 while the girls lost 17-40.
