NTL GOLF: CV INDIANS 4TH AT FINAL LEAGUE MATCH (September 24, 2026)

MANSFIELD — Cowanesque Valley played at the NTL’s last league match of the season at Corey Creek Thursday and placed 4th.

Athens (319) edged out Towanda (320) for low score on the day but the Black Knights held onto the league title by finishing 32-3 on the year, just ahead of Athens (31-4). 

Wellsboro (354) was 3rd on the day while the Indians were 4th, NPM was 5th (366), Canton was 6th (374), Wyalusing was 7th (392) and Sayre finished last (407).

Danny Smith had CV’s low round of the day, shooting a 13-over-par 85 (43, 42) with two birdies and six pars.

Luke Hamilton shot an 88 (47, 41) while Ashtyn Burdick had a 93 (44, 49), Katie Huzey had a 94 (49, 45), Grant Hills had a 95 (45, 50) and Brent Watkins had a 99 (53, 46).

The Indians finished the league season 16-18, good for 5th place behind Towanda, Athens, Wellsboro (24-11) and NPM (21-13) and ahead of Wyalusing (9-26), Canton (6-28) and Sayre (0-35).
