NTL FOOTBALL: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD FALLS TO TROY (October 2, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportBLOSSBURG — North Penn-Mansfield fell behind Troy 34-0 at the end of the first quarter and went on to lose 48-12 to the Trojans in NTL football action Friday.
The loss is the 0-6 Panthers’ sixth straight to start the season.
Troy’s Spencer Martin had three touchdowns in the game - one rushing and two passing, as the junior quarterback opened up the scoring Friday with a 4-yard rush with 9:44 on the clock to make it 7-0 after Landon Lee's kick.
Troy’s Jayden Kutt punched in the second touchdown for a 13-0 lead, and with 4:19 to play in the first frame Martin hit Josiah Pesesky for a 21-yard scoring strike, with Lee's kick good for a 20-0 score.
An Evan Allen 2-yard touchdown run with 1:15 on the clock made it 27-0 after Lee's kick.
Logunn Heasley had a pick-6 from 39 yards out with 54.8 seconds left in the quarter. Lee's kick was good for the five-touchdown lead at the first horn.
Early in the second Martin hit Teribury for a 9-yard scoring strike with the kick making it 41-0.
Troy made it 48-0 with 8:50 left in the second quarter on a Lucas Norton 15-yard scoring run and a good PAT try.
Jeremiah Lawrence had two rushing touchdowns for the Panthers .. including a 77-yard burst in the second quarter to get them on the scoreboard.
North Penn-Mansfield (0-6) returns to action next Friday with a visit to Athens.
