COLLEGE GOLF: WELLSBORO'S MORRAL COMPLETES SEASON FOR MILLERSVILLE AT PSAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (2021-11-09)
By LANCE LARCOMNorthern Tier West Sports ReportMILLERSVILLE — Millersville sophomore Ty Morral, a Wellsboro graduate, recently completed his second season as a member of the Marauders’ men’s golf team at the PSAC Championships, held at Hershey Country Club East.
The Marauders finished 8th of the10 teams competing by carding a three-round total of 933 .. 58 shots behind reigning PSAC champs IUP.
Morral opened the tournament by shooting a two-over 38 and a two-over 37 for a first round score of 75, then followed that up with an 87 on the second day and an 80 in his final round. He collected four birdies and 23 pars in the tourney to finish tied for 39th overall.
In the Marauders’ season-opener at the Vulcan Invitational, hosted by California University of Pennsylvania, Morral finished tied for 41st with a three-round total of 224 (76, 73, 75).
Three two-round tournaments followed, as Morral carded a 162 (79, 83) at the Mercyhurst-hosted Evan Parker Memorial Invite, a 158 (77, 81) at the Gannon University Fall Classic and a 157 (78, 79) at the Hal Hansen Invitational, hosted by Clarion University.
