COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY: NP-MANSFIELD'S FARRER ENJOYS SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR FOR SUSQUEHANNA XC (2021-11-13)
By LANCE LARCOMNorthern Tier West Sports ReportSELINSGROVE, PA — North Penn-Mansfield grad Grace Farrer is a freshman member of the Susquehanna University women’s cross country team, recent winners of the Landmark Conference Championship and the number four-ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
At the conference championship, Farrer finished the 6K race in 29:16.8 and placed 65th overall. The River Hawks edged Moravian by one point to win the title.
Farrer finished the Moravian 6K Invitational in 29:04.9 to place 73rd back in mid-September, then helped Susquehanna to a third-place finish out of 32 teams at the Dickinson College Long-Short Invite, placing 87th of over 150 runners in the 4K race in 18:24.116.
Prior to the conference championships, Farrer ran at the Gettysburg Invitational, placing 113th with a 29:54.0 for the River Hawks, who placed second out of 14 teams.
Susquehanna will compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Saturday in Newville, Pa.
