ALL-TIOGA COUNTY VOLLEYBALL TEAM FEATURES THE BEST OF THE WEST (December 1, 2021)By Lance LarcomNorthern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — Tioga County is no stranger to a strong volleyball tradition, and the successes that spawn from those traditions were evident this past season as three of our West teams were among the top-4 teams in the entire District IV Class AA field. With that, NTWSR presents our inaugural All-Tioga County Volleyball Team, as well as our individual award winners.
North Penn-Liberty made a run at a sixth consecutive District IV AA title, but fell short in the finals against Wyalusing. The Mounties season still included an NTL Large School Championship, a 13-0 NTL record and a 15-2 overall mark with wins over Class A District Champ Canton and AA Champ Wyalusing in the regular season. Besides the District Final loss, the Mounties’ only other loss was to 4A District 6 runner-up Central Mountain.
For all of his accomplishments with a roster featuring only one senior, our All-Tioga County Volleyball Coach of the Year is North Penn-Liberty’s Mitch Stetter.
Staying on the same team .. and in the same family .. NTWSR is proud to name NPL’s Darby Stetter as our All-Tioga County Volleyball Player of the Year.
