COLLEGE SWIMMING: WELLSBORO GRAD WARNER SWIMMING AT LYCO (2021-03-31)

WILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro grad Brennan Warner has competed in several meets for the Lycoming College swim team over the last month. The Warriors are currently four meets into a condensed, seven-week schedule which will conclude at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on April 15-18.

Warner, a freshman, made his collegiate debut on March 6 at the M.A.C. Virtual Relay Meet, competing in four events.

In the 3x50 yard breaststroke relay, Warner and teammates Alexander Sideris and William Marcinkowski placed seventh with a time of 1:40.66. Warner swam the first leg and had a split time of 34.13.

Warner joined Jake Booth, CJ Zortman and Matt Michenfelder in the 200 yard freestyle relay and placed eighth with a time of 1:41.12. Warners split was 24.11 as the anchor swimmer.

Warner also swam in the 3x50 yard butterfly relay (1:31.08 / 28.10) and in the 3x50 yard backstroke relay (1:39.00 / 31.31).

At the M.A.C. Coaches Choice Virtual Invitational on March 20, Warner placed fourth in both the 400 yard medley relay (4:14.58) and in the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:38.87). He also placed eighth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.39.

Most recently, on March 7, Lycoming hosted Stevenson and won the meet 111-45. Warner joined teammates Brandon Vought, Marcinkowski and Michenfelder to win the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.05. Warner swam the anchor leg, freestyle, with a split time of 23.34.

Warner placed second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 58.17, and also swam on Lyco’s 200 yard freestyle relay team (1:35.51 / 24.04).

Lycoming is scheduled to host Hood College for their next meet on Friday, their last competition before the four-day M.A.C. Championships.
