HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NP-LIBERTY WIN STREAK SNAPPED BY MUNCY (2022-01-10)
By Lance LarcomNorthern Tier West Sports ReportLIBERTY —After winning their last three games, the Lady Mounties struggled mightily in their match-up with 6-1 Muncy, falling to the Indians 42-11 in non-league girls basketball action Monday.
NP-Liberty was held scoreless in the first quarter, and scored two points in the second quarter to fall behind 32-2 at halftime.
The Mounties scored two points again in the third quarter, and seven in the final frame, while giving up four and six points.
Tierney Patterson was the Mounties’ high scorer with three points. Nikki Kiscadden, Emily Kreger, Elizabeth Ritchie and Jaclyn Nelson each scored two points.
North Penn-Liberty falls to 3-6 with the loss. They are scheduled to visit Canton Tuesday for an NTL small-school match-up.
